Docks were rolling in the waves today as the winds blew onshore - the boats were placed on the docks to keep them dry - when the sun finally appeared in late afternoon it was most welcomed by all. The whitecaps, although, interesting, were destructive to the shoreline. Our first concern was for the bass on their spawning beds, near the shore. I'll let you know how that turns out.
Fireworks are ready to go for the May long weekend - Victoria Day - a celebration for the Queen's birthday. This is the first party weekend of summer and many people drive up to their cottages - the highways will be busy with traffic, impatient drivers trying to get the most of the weekend....enjoy a safe holiday.
Congratulations to our own Michael Sterpin, Chef de Cuisine, and his bride Megan, who will be married on the boardwalk Saturday afternoon. We wish them a wonderful life together. I promise wedding photos next week.
